Volume 24 of New Vico Studies is available.

Volume 24 is dedicated to John D. Schaeffer's Translation of the Second Part of Vico's Il Diritto Universale entitled De Constantia Iurisprudentis. It is a continuation of the the translation that first appeared in New Vico Studies 21.


The Commemorative 25th Volume of New Vico Studies is currently being assembled.

The Volume will open with a special article by Donald Phillip Verene discussing a quarter of a century of New Vico Studies.
The issue will also include the following articles:
"On Vico's Universal Law and Modern Law" by Michael Sullivan
"Observations on Vico as Reader of Lucretius" by James K. Coleman
"Carafa and Godfrey: Tasso's Influence on Vico's Conception of War" by Andrea Moudarres

Also included will be four papers presented in a special session of the 38th Annual Meeting of the American Study for Eighteenth-Century Studies held in Atlanta, GA from March 22-25, 2007
The Session was entitled: Vico and the Idea of Counter-Enlightenment Philosophy
These papers include:
"Vico and Cassirer's Conception of the Enlightenment" by Thora Ilin Bayer
"Vico's Sensus Communis, Natural Law and the Counter-Enlightenment" by Alexander Bertland
"Unfolded History: Vico's Method of 'Explanation' as an Alternative to Enlightenment Rationalism" by Sabrina Ferri
and "Vico's Counter-Enlightenment Theory of Natural Law" by John D. Schaeffer.
Also included will be Robin Thomas' translation of Vico's In morte di donn'Angela Cimmino "On the Death of Angela Cimmino"

There will also be an update of the bibliography of Works on Vico in English from 1994-2007.
